REFLECTION WEEK 14
Assalamualaikum and hello my readers !
So, this week is our last week of lecture. And the last three groups present their final project digital story telling. The presentation was started with Grace's group. Their movie's title is 'I'm longing for you'. From my bottom heart, I am very touched because the movie was about how a person keep her promise. The characters in the movie did a very good job! Even a few of the actors was not from our course, but for me, they role the movie excellently. Congratulation! Next group is Farah's group eith their movie entitled 'The clever mother'. This movie is full with moral value where the most significant value the can be seen was we should not steal anything that not belong to us. The actor's character attracted me and I'm very enjoy this movie. Well done Girls ! While, for Yana's group, Their movie was a bit different, the title is enough to make us wondering, 'The miracle pf Alturism' . This movie is suitable for motivational purposes. What I learned from this movie? I learned that always make everyone around us to be happy. We should not being selfish. Another one good movie from them. Keep it up ! Last but not least, Jasmine's group with their movie entitled 'Wishing star'. This movie is about two persons, from different family, have the same look but different character. Where, one day, they bumped coincidently. They decide to switch their life because one of them did not satisfy with her life. This movie thought me that we should accept what we had in this life because everything that we had now , have their own reasons. I love the way the role the movie. Nice ! Well done ! It can be improved more. So, we've finished presentation of our final project. Yippie ! I'm so glad.
It's the time to hear Ms. Amreet's last words and compliments about the whole fourteen weeks we attend thos course. She said that she was glad that she got us as her students. and she said that our performance during the whole lecture was better than others. From me, I have nothing much to say, Ms. Amreet had run the responsibility well. I've learned many things in this course. Thank you for all the lessons, for all the knowledge. Thank you for being the most sporting lecturer. It's my pleasure to have you as my lecturer! Hope to see you in the future. I love you and I will miss you .

REFLECTION WEEK 13
Hello lovelies ! Well, we meet again !
I am very excited to share with all of you. This week was the presentation of our final project for this course. our Digital Story telling "Sister Swap" . In this project,we decided to use anime as our major platform because we want to try something new. In semester 2, we've been produced a movie. so, the presentation was started with Syahira's group with title 'I am perfect'. It is about self acceptance. I taught us that we have to accept ourselves. Never care about what other's saying, because you'll not hppy with that life. Just be yourself ! One more thing to share, I am impressed with their production, the angle taken, the sound, and the music background. Good job girls !
While, second group was Amina's group with title ' Anna's petite journal'. From what I understand, this digital story telling is about students life. What Anna do as a student. She sleep, wake up, go to lecture class, eat, revise, do assignments ans sleep again. Next group is my group. Honestly, we were nervous because we brought a very different type of digital story telling, We were afraid that it would not be accepted. Thankfully, after finished our presentation, Ms, Amreet did not comment negatively. It was a relief for us. Thank you Ms. Amreet! There were another group that will present their final project. Meet you next week !
REFLECTION WEEK 12
Hi everyone ! Hi Ms. Amreet !
As I mentioned before, I got one hour class on Monday. Ms. Amreet is very responsible person because she never cancel the class if there's no memo or it is not public holiday. but, this week, on Monday , our class was off because it was the public holiday, Independence Day ! I'm not that happy because even if the class is on, I still cannot go to the class, I was not in a pink health and I was not around the campus or college. I do have few assignments that I have to do, from Ms. Amreet and other course. but, in that condition, I can do nothing. I fulfilled my holiday resting at home.
While, on Wednesday, yes! the class is on. I was not fully recover, but because of my medical certificate (MC) only until Tuesday. then, I have to go to the class, since Ms. Amreet is very particular about the attendance. So,on that day, Ms.Amreet taught us about the Interactive Multimedia Narrative and Linear Narrative. About the notes, Ms. Amreet already uploaded it in the MyGuru. so that,it will be easy for me to revise anything on my own. I think, I'm done here. I will update later due to my next lecture class. Thank you for spending time too visit my blog! see you soon!
Causes of teenage suicide ( CAUSE AND EFFECT ESSAY )
To live means not only to exist biologically or as a psychic entity, but also to cope with difficulties, interact and communicate with people, make decisions, and sometimes undergo excessive psychological pressure. Even an adult mind can fail to maintain pressure, making an individual see no other solution but suicide. Along with this, a risk group that is even more exposed to suicides is represented by teenagers, who are more vulnerable to stresses and usually do not possess strongly-shaped personalities. Considering the problem’s scales, factors which cause adolescents to do away with themselves should be distinguished.
One of the most common reasons for adolescent suicide is a divorce of parents, as well as a new family formation—including step-parents, step-siblings, and so on . According to the study of 146 adolescent friends of 26 adolescent suicide victims, those teenagers who lived in single-parent families were more likely either to commit suicide and to have psychological disorders, compared to children from complete families; more precisely, three of four adolescent suicides were committed by children raised in single-parent households .
Depression can be another reason for teenagers committing suicides. Scientists usually connect the development of depression to the lack of the brain chemical serotonin, which controls impulsivity; this is important considering the fact that many suicides are committed impulsively (NAMI). Moreover, symptoms of depression can also serve as warning signs of a teen having suicidal thoughts. Among the most common signs, parents or caregivers should pay attention to the following changes in behavior: sudden changes of eating and sleeping habits; withdrawal from friends and family members; giving up favorite activities; lack of response to praise; alcohol and drug use; suicidal feelings, and so on. Statements about wanting to die or hints like “I won’t be a problem much longer” should also be payed extra attention (The Ohio State University).
Yet another common reason for adolescent suicides is unsuccessful love. Teenagers are vulnerable due to the complexities of a transitional period between adolescence and adulthood. They also tend to maximize and generalize certain events of their lives. Thus, a breakup or unrequited love, which themselves are rather complicated conundrums, may be seen as a total disaster, and thus push a teen towards making a final decision for a temporary problem.
Adolescence is a unique period, which is fraught with adverse experiences, fears, hopes, and stresses. Unfortunately, sometimes teenagers cannot cope with the challenges life exposes them to, and do away with themselves. Among the most common factors standing behind this terrible decision are the divorce of parents and new family formations, depression, and difficulties in intimate relationships. Thus, parents and caregivers should pay close attention to the mental condition of their children to prevent them from making this crucial mistake.
DESCRIBE HOW YOU WOULD COOK YOUR FAVOURITE DISH
My favourite dish is steamed egg. It is very delicious and nutritious. also it is very easy to make. all it takes is an egg and other ingredients found in any kitchen plus about twenty minutes of cooking time.
How to cook? First of all dissolve the 1/2 teaspoon cornflour in a bit of water in a bowl. Crack the egg into the bowl and beat the mixture thoroughly with a table fork. Then add water until the bowl is nearly full. Continue beating the watery mixture until the colour is consistent.
Add a pinch of salt and pepper. Mince meat or chopped prawns can be added but it is not compulsory. A drop or two of cooking oil may also be added. There is no hard and fast rule about what to add to the mixture. It is just a matter of taste. I usually stick to the original mixture without adding any meat.
Put about 3 inches of water into the Chinese wok (a large pot will do just as well) and put a low metal stand in the water. An inverted saucer will do, if you do not have a metal stand, heat up the water. When steam begans to appear, place the egg mixture on the stand. Continue beating the mixture gently.
The egg mixture will be began to heat up. Test its temperature from time to time by dipping a finger into it. After a few minutes, the mixture will be hot to touch. By now, the water should be boiling nicely and the steam will be probably be a bit too hot for comfort. So, stop beating the mixture and cover the wok with a lid. Let the steam do its work for about 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes open the lid and examine the egg mixture. Be careful though not be scalded by the steam. The egg should have solidified to the consistency of jelly. You can check this with a fork. The fork should "open" the steamed egg slightly. The finish dish should be like soft pale yellow opaque jelly.
Add a bit of soy sauce to the steamed egg and it is ready for serving. whether eaten with rice or by itself this dish is simply delicious. Try it, you will be suprised a simple dish like this can taste so good.

Many of us "live to eat" rather than "eat to live". Do you agree? (ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY)
There is some truth on the above statement, for there are many who certainly put great importance to the food they eat until they have a problem with it. Many people complain that they are overweight, that they have spare tyre and how they wish that they can be slim. For most of these people who complain thus, I can see that they are the cause of their condition, and that is, they simply eat too much. Except for rare medical cases where hormonal disturbance may cause obesity, I can safely say that just about all obese people love to eat.
I have a friend who weighs 260 Ib and he stands at merely 5 feet 2 inches. He looks like a ball actually. He is so fat that he cannot put his hands down his sides like normal people do. His hands sort of dangle from his shoulders. He attributes his obesity to "something" wrong with my glands. He does not admit that it is his addiction with eating is causing the problem. His ideas of lunch is two glasses of lime juice. He literally stuffs the food into his mouth and with hardly a chew swallows the whole lot. His "something is wrong with my glands" declaration is just an excuse.
Judging by the number of people who strut around their bellies leading the way, it will not be too far-fetched to say that they "live to eat". If they merely eat to live, they will not allow themselves to bloat up as they are. It is the inevitable complaint of overweight people that they have difficulty doing physical exercises and they are prone to illness. Why then, if they can see that being overweight is not something good, do they not desist from eating excessively? The answer is that they live to eat. They simply love the taste of food. In short, they are addicted to food.
This addiction is further encouraged by many restaurants and eating shops that seem to mushroom everywhere Young and old, rich and poor- they all patronise these places. They are always pot-bellied experts ever willing to comment on the best dining places in town. They can describe in great detail and with great enthusiasm all the best meals they had ever had. If these people do not live to eat, who else do ?
To be fair, not everyone live to eat. There are many sensible people who eat just to keep their bodies in a good working order. Overeating is out of the question for them. They know the dangers of obesity. They treasure their health more and thus live their lives minus the problems and anxieties of the obese. There are enough problems already in this world. There is no need to add the problems of obesity to it.
Reflection Week 11
On Monday's class, Ms. Amreet ask us to discuss among group members about our last project (digital storytelling). She want to survey our progress, about the story line, the script, the field that we will use to complete this task. on that time, my group members and I gather and try to find the appropriate site. One hour class we use to do discussion in group. Meanwhile, on Wednesday's class was postponed because we had to participate in a trip which is related to our "Latihan Industri" (LI). LI also known as our internship after we finished our semester. One of the objectives of this trip is to expose us (Diploma in English students) the environment in workplace, what is the section, and the responsibility for each department which is very important for us to know. So, here some of our captured moments during the trip!

Which do you prefer, being in a large school or a small one ? (COMPARE & CONTRAST ESSAY)
I prefer being in a small school.
When I was in primary school, we had only about two hundred pupils in the school. I knew just about every teacher and pupil of the school. In fact, all of us knew each another and the school was like a huge family. The teachers were like uncles and aunts. The schoolmates were friendly and we really had great times together.
The atmosphere in school was terrific. We were small and we cared for each other. The headmaster was a kind man who knew how to look after children. He never had to cane anyone. The children simply loved being in school. So, we never created any trouble.
Now, I am in secondary school., This school has almost two thousands students. It is too large for my liking. Even after three years here, I only knows those in my class and some from other classes. The students are definitely less friendly here. So are the teachers, whereas in my old school the teachers were like uncles and aunts, those here are just like strangers we meet on the streets. I am not saying all the teachers are like that, but I say quite a number of them do not seem to be bothered whether they knows us or not.
As the school is divided into two sessions, those who came in the morning, do not know those who come in the afternoon at all. The teachers themselves do not know all their colleagues. How can we students know all our schoolmates? It is impossible. This sort of thing does nothing to bring about a friendly atmosphere in the school.
Almost every month the headmaster cane some students in public. I have never seen such thing in my old school. I suspect the guilty students are merely trying to get some attention. They are sorely neglected. Most of these so-called 'naughty' brats come from the weaker class. I had on occasion, passed by these E and F classes. What do I see? Pandemonium- I do not any teacher in the class and the students are left to their own devices. No wonder they break chairs and tables and make trouble. Then they punished for their offences. In the first place who is responsible for their neglect? Fortunately, I am not in one of these classes. Otherwise, I would have been caned now.
When I had to leave primary school to come up to secondary, I felt sad having to go away from a place that I loved. I look forward to the day when I can leave. That is how different the two schools are. The small school really made me feel wanted and I enjoyed being there. This huge monster of a school makes me unwanted and I do not enjoy being here.

Reflection Week 9
Ms. Amreet started the class with the important
styles for informative websites. It is divided into three sections, which are
technical, scientific and academic. For language students like us, we are more
exposed with academic style. It is divided into two. First is qualitative, it
is descriptive and takes time. While, quantitative is more to data and
interpretation. One of the most important thing in academic style is when you
do the list of references, where you
should be aware with APA style to cite the references. Last but not least, Ms.
Amreet emphasized to the class that in academic writing, there is no
bibliography. The differences between reference list and bibliography list is
in reference you have to write with the APA style, while for bibliography, you
can put anything.
The importance of water ( Informative Essay )
Water is one of the most important things on earth. Every living thing needs water for its survival. Without water, plants, animals, microbes - everything, will perish. Our bodies are composed of about 75% water. so we are literally walking bags of water. Water allows our blood to flow through the blood vessels thus supplying the body with vital nutrients. also water allows waste water to be eliminated from the body via the excretory system. Our need for water becomes very apparent when we are thirsty. The taste are water going down the throat is something we all find so much pleasure in. We drink glasses of this precious transparent liquid everyday. it is vital to our life.
The first civilisations of man started near rivers. The Nile, The Tigris and Euphrates were where man began to establish themselves on the earth. In all parts of the world, the major rivers played a major part in the evolution of man.
Water is used for drinking, washing, cleaning, and just about any activities we care to do. Without water, living is virtually impossible. Water covers about two thirds of the total surface of the earth. The vast expanse if seas and oceans has long been our major sources of food and means of travel. Millions of fishes live in the sea. they provide an abundant supply of valuable food. All of us has eaten fish, with the exceptions of those who do not eat meat. The majority of mankind will continue to eat fish.
The rivers, seas and oceans provide man with an important means of travel. In ancient times, man explored the earth via the sea. The British, Protuguese, Spanish, Dutch and other all reached the less developed world in their ships. They conquered or colonised what they discovered. Much of what we are today, influenced by the travellers who came over the seas in their ships long ago. Today the waterways of the world are still of major importance to mankind. Huge oil tankers, container ship and others ply these routes. In fact many of the sea routes are overcrowded.
When there is shortage of water such as when there is a drought, then we know how terrible the consequences can be. Plants, animals and human beings perish. The affected land becomes parched and dry. Nothing grows. In the midst of the Sahara Desert where there is very little rain, there is also very little life. Mostly, we get sand and more sand. no man can live there.
People who live near or around deserts know the value of water. They know how precious it is and they take great care using it. We, who live in a land where water is plentiful, think nothing of standing under the shower for half an hour. Those who live in arid areas do not such a luxury. They cannot afford to waste water like we do. As long as there is life on this planet, water will be here. Without it, life as we know it is impossible. Thus it is beneficial for us to know how important water is. We ought not to waste it or pollute it by any means. Water is just too precious.
A trip by car ( Narrative Essay )
We started at 7 a.m in the morning. It was Sunday and the traffic in Kuala Lumpur was minimal. From our home in Petaling Jaya it took us a mere fifteen minutes before we reached the toll plaza at Kepong. My father gave 50 cent to the girl manning one of the booths and we continued on our way up north. We were actually going to visit my mother's parents in Ipoh. I sat at the back of the car with my younger sister while my parents sat in front.
The scene after the toll plaza was quite different from what we saw in K.L. High-rise buildings gave way to tall limestone hills. My father mentioned that Batu Caves was somewhere on our right as we passed by the Selayang wholesale market. indeed we could see outcrops of limestones and signs indicating the direction to Batu Caves. Swiftly we passed Selayang and entered a twisty section of road that led us past Templer Park and to Rawang. All the time the red morning sun shone on our right-hand side lighting up the beautiful scenery of the countryside. Rawang was just a small town but there were signs of impending progress. Anyhow we carried on past the town and further north. my father said that the road was normally congested. Fortunately, we chose sunday so we moved along relatively fast.
It was not often that we travelled along this road so we had plenty of new things to see. I noticed the names of the small towns we passed by. There were Serendah, Kerling, Batang Kali, Kalumpang and others whose names I have forgotten. All were practically one-street towns and and wondered what it was like to live in one of them. At about 9 o'clock we reached Tanjong Malim. We did not actually enter it because the main road bypassed the town. Still I could see the town from a distance as we passed the traffic lights near the town. We had just entered the state of Perak. Tanjong Malim to Slim River, the next town , was very quick. The traffic was not heavy and my father made short work of the short stretch, but he made sure he kept within the speed limit of 90 km/h. Sure enough, his caution was a good thing for along the road we could see some cars who were stopped by the police. They obviously had been speeding.
After Slim River, I felt sleepy and my interest in the scenery decreased. So I took a short nap. When I awoke my father had stopped the car to buy some jambu at Bidor. After eating the fruit, I felt revitalised and took a renewed interest in the surroundings.
We then passed by Tapah, Kampar, and some other smaller places before we finally came within sight of Ipoh. Traffic conditions worsened as we entered the town, but it was Sunday it was not too bad. Ipoh was a big town, not unlike K.L, but there were very few high-risebuildings. Anyhow we were there for a purpose and after a short while travelling on the streets of Ipoh we arrived at my grandparents' place. I looked at the clock in the car. It read 10.45 a.m.

Reflection week 8
On Monday, Ms. Amreet asked us to find and explore
any appropriate and inappropriate websites, three respectively and find out why
you stated that it is appropriate or vice versa. After all found the website,
Ms. Amreet asked anyone to tell the class about our findings and discuss it
together with everyone. First, penny juice, it is inappropriate because
On Wednesday, Ms. Amreet asked us to sit in our
group and discuss about our digital story-telling. Me and my group members
started our discussion among group members about the appropriate field or site
that can be used to produce our digital story-telling. It was quite hard to
find site that really can support the needs for our story. After considered few
of sites, then, we decided to use scratch.com. Then, we proceed with the
storyline, characters, characteristics, and also the script. Ms. Amreet asked
the group leader to come in front and show the group progress.
Reflection week 7
This week, Ms. Amreet began
the class with the personal style for
writing in multimedia. The uses of LINGO. Lingo is an short-form such as LOL
and emoticons, such as J.
It is appropriate to use it
for messaging or chatting, but inappropriate for web writing, for example blog
post as it is considered as assignment (academic purposes). Next, definitely do
not use swear words and do not being gender bias, you use they/their. One of the most important
thing to pay attention is grammar rules. Never end a sentence with preposition. Example: where are you
from?. Typing full for assignments. Do not use short-form.
Example: Sally &
I went to the movies.
Mom baked a cake for Jeff & me.
Also, be careful with
malaproprisms (same pronunciation with different meaning). Example: effect vs
affect. Last but not least, make sure
use the correct punctuation. Make sure recheck these things before sending assignment.

On
Monday, I came late because I was over-slept. I was very shocked, when I come
into the class, I can see there were only 8 person in the class. Many of them
went back to their hometown on Wednesday last week, and continued their holiday
because Tuesday was public holiday. Plus, on Monday, all the class was off and
only got this 1 hour class. The class proceed with the presentation. One of the
presenter talk about how to detect liar. I realized that we are all liars. When others
ask us about our condition, we often say that we are okay, but in fact, we’re
not. That was the most significant situation where we always lying. What I get
from this presentation is I can detect a liar by watch for any gestures they
make towards their face, check the hands and arms gestures, check the eyes, and
check for strange behavior. I think, this can help me to handle those people. On Wednesday, Ms. Amreet remind us about all
the deadline for all aou assignment. She showed
us about some of the platform that can be used for designing interactive
resume. Then, about how to submit our url in the wikispaces. After that, she
talk about the content for web advertisement and homepages task. Lastly, about
the digital story telling. When everything done, the class was dismissed.

Hi & Assalamualaikum everyone !
This time, I want to share about my FRIENDS. I have a lot of friends. I'm very thankful because all my friends are very open-minded, supportive, loving, caring, and loyal. when talk about friend, I accept anyone who want to be my friend with a big heart. as long as they know how to appreciate people, and they know what is the meaning of friendship. For me, it is very important for each of us to have this consciousness.
Started in kindergarten, I do have a bestfriend, named Siti Nor Aisyah Binti Diris. we're still contact until now. She live at the same village with me, and her home is nearby to mine. She is very introverted, yet very loving and loyal. I remembered, when we were in primary school. Everyday, we will walk together to go to the school and back home. During racess time, we will go to a one port, and enjoy our meals. There are many memories that I want to share with you all, my readers, but I'm sure that it will never end because it was so many. my childhood time become meaningful with her presence.
Next, I proceed with my loves in secondary school. I learn many things during this time. ups and downs. I have my own "gang". We were 13 in a group. Aisyah, Hadirah, Nadzira, Anne, Nurjana, Hazar, Hasnill, Shaererina, Solehah, Fatihah, Umi, and Azie. We share many things, do many things together. We come from different region of Sabah. We share and learn each other's jargon, and it was excited. we were too close until the discipline teacher ask us to separate and split, because someone reported to the teacher that we were not be friends with others. it was tragic, but we got our own plan. We just pretend that our "gang" was split, in fact, we still with it "Mix Team~Yaks Tekaya". 3 years we together in the same school, and all the memories will never be replaced forever. Even now we were separated because of our own journey in this life, No one can replaced "Mix Team" in my heart. They are the BEST among the rest !
Lastly, my friends in the university Nurfatin Zalikha and Syakirah Afifah. I met many different people. different personality, state, behavior, attitude, understanding, and thought. Its hard for me to understand, need a little effort. but these two girls are awesome. We were being friends unintentionally. I got some problems and I go to them to crying, share my feelings. Then, we started to be close. During free time, if we are bored, we will dance, and sing out loud together. We will be crazy together. I do LOVE them. I learnt many things from them. all the memories, happiness, sorrowness, everything, I'll keep it whatever happen. I am so thankful to have them here. ADIOS !

Reflection week 5
The presenter was presented
about the importance of healthy food and cleanliness. These two things are
significantly related to our life. Based on the studies on the Japan
people, take care about these things,
and it will make our life longer without any
disease. Next was about plastic surgery. Zarwani shown top 5 of the
worst plastic surgery. It really makes me realized that we must accept and
appreciate everything that we have. If we are over-acting with beauty,
sometimes it may hurt you or getting even worst then your naturality. Another
presentation that I interested in was déjà vu. It is usually happens among
teenagers from 15-20 year-old. Next was
about the Titanic tragedy. The moral value from that incident is we must
prepare everything before we do something because anything can happen during
the time. The most interesting title is water birth. We can consider to giving
birth in the water at home, hospital, or birth centre. The benefit of water
birth. Breath when the skin feel the air. Why women should choose it? It will
give us relaxation, shorter labor, privacy and control, buoyancy, coping with
pain, and better use of gravity. after I heard this, I really think, I want to give birth in the water. that's my wish if I get married soon. alright! that's all for today. goodbye lovelies!
Reflection Week 4
On Monday, the individual presentation for prezi was started. Ms. Amreet asked
any volunteers to come forward and present. I’m not ready at that time because
I didn’t work on any practise. So, I felt a little nervous. There were many of
my classmates want to present. First presentation was about “The Secret Of
Orthosiphon Stamimeus”. Also known as
“Misai Kucing”. Before this, I thought that “Misai Kucing” is just being used
in tea preparation. Actually, it has many benefits and very useful for chronic
and critical diseases. It was very helpful
for me because my grandfather and grandmother are having chronic diseases, so,
maybe I could suggest them to try this
kind of traditional treatment. The next presentation was about music. I quiet
interested with this because I am the music lover. And yes! Music can influence
our emotion. Next was about the skin,
type of skin, how to take care any
different type of skin. It also give me lots of information.
While,
on Wednesday, still with the presentation. The topic that have been presented
by Anis aimi attracted me. She talk about lipstick. Since I really love to
apply lipstick when I go out. I always have a problem when the lipstick is not
long lasting. Anis had help me how to make the lipstick long-lasting, she
showed the technique. Next was the presentation about tears. The benefits
of tears are dealing with sorrow,
lifting mood, stress release, and eye watering. Eye watering means that the
tears can protect our eyes from irritants and foreign bodies, such as dust or
getting rid of the acidic fumes when cutting onions. Then, the topic about
bucket list. It is important for us to
have our own bucket list, so that in this life, we will have the spirit and encouragement
to achieve what we want. I’ve decided to do my presentation on that day. I can
feel the butterflies in my stomach, but I try to handle it because when I think
deeply, better I do it, or else my work will be piled. So, I proceed with my
presention and it went well.
My Soul, My Spirit, and My Everything.
I belong to a middle class family. My family is not that big, and not that rich. To me, my family really means everything in the world. My parents and siblings are those who can always turn to help and affection. I do love them so much. There are five members in my family. My mother, father, mother, me, and 2 younger brothers. My father’s name is Mr. Nor Rahem Bin Mohd Jani and my mom is Mrs. Aspalela Binti Abdullah.
When talk about family, I am
very excited to tell about my family members’ character because for me, they
are unique with their own style. My papa, it’s hard to understand him.
Sometimes, he can be a joker, a motivator, and a best friend ever. The most
important thing, he is a person who full with surprises. I remembered when the
moment my 18th birthday, he
pretend didn’t remember anything. He
came back late from work, just let me
have my dinner all alone at home. He didn’t say anything. Suddenly, he came
back home around 12:45 am, brought a cheese cake and a present (not neatly
wrapped gift). I was very touched because he said that he rushed to buy the
present after work, and wrapped it himself. I can see the “rush”. Everything that
given by my love one, has its own sentimental value deep in my heart.
My mom, she is very
open-minded, caring (for sure). We can share anything with her, our personal
problem, love story, anything. She do not show us her love directly. Until at a
point, I feel that she doesn’t love me.
But it was when I’m still kiddo, now, when I think deeply, it is the way she
loves her children. She don’t want us being pampered. She doesn’t always said
she loves us, but we can feel it through her action.
My first brother Rizal, he
is hot-tempered. Do not make him upset, or else he will scold you. It’s hard to
make him laugh, but he is very sensitive and pamper when it comes to her
girlfriend. My second and last brother,
Niezam. He is very independent, friendly,
polite and hardworking. He has a strong personality, he can get along with people. I think, that’s
all about my loves of life. And I believe, everyone has their own story about
their family, which is unique in their own style.
Will Always Be Me
My name is Norizatul
Shahira Binti Nor Rahem. but I'd like to be called as Ira.
I'm
the first child and the only girl among my 2 brothers in my nuclear family. I
was born on 26 March 1995, in Selangor. Which means I am 19 years old now. I
have been living and studying in Sabah since I am 4 years old until 13 years
old. In primary school, I studied at S.K Pengalat Besar, papar. My secondary
school when I was in form 1 was at S.M.A Islamiah Pantai Manis. Then, after
finished form 1, I moved to Selangor
because of some family problem and lived together with my father. I went to
S.M.A Pulau Tawar, Jerantut, Pahang until form 5.
After SPM, I worked at one of
the factory near my home, just want to fill my free time since I am waiting for
UPU result for my application to enter the University. Instead of lying on the bed,
watching television, sleep along day and
night, why not I work, at least, I’ll get money and experiences. It was worth
it. When I get my payment, deep inside my heart, I can feel the satisfaction.
Oh! It just can’t be expressed by words.
After 3 months work, I
got an offer to further my study in Sultan Idris Education University. I accept
the offer and now I am studying Diploma
in English in semester 4. I’ve met many people, from many places, many
characters, many attitudes, many things that have teach me what is life about. And
honestly, it’s quite hard for me to adapt everything, but time has make it
easier. Anything comes, I’ll let it go with the wind.
More about myself, there
are many things in our life that I like and dislike. I like when everything is
OK! Being happy is one way of being
wise. How can I get the happiness? I’m happy when people around me shows
positive action. Instead of live my life as a student, I do have hobbies to share during my free time. Where these hobbies also help me to improve
my english. During free time, I love to watch film, listen to music. What genre
of film? for sure, fantasy, and romantic. For music, I really love to listen
English song that can give me spirit, hopes, and strength to face everything in
this life. I found the moments of joy and pleasure when I listen to the music,
sing out loud and dance alone. Lastly, for a brief description about my life,
it is awesome! one principle that I hold in my life is don't wish for success, but work for it!
