REFLECTION WEEK 14
Assalamualaikum and hello my readers !
So, this week is our last week of lecture. And the last three groups present their final project digital story telling. The presentation was started with Grace's group. Their movie's title is 'I'm longing for you'. From my bottom heart, I am very touched because the movie was about how a person keep her promise. The characters in the movie did a very good job! Even a few of the actors was not from our course, but for me, they role the movie excellently. Congratulation! Next group is Farah's group eith their movie entitled 'The clever mother'. This movie is full with moral value where the most significant value the can be seen was we should not steal anything that not belong to us. The actor's character attracted me and I'm very enjoy this movie. Well done Girls ! While, for Yana's group, Their movie was a bit different, the title is enough to make us wondering, 'The miracle pf Alturism' . This movie is suitable for motivational purposes. What I learned from this movie? I learned that always make everyone around us to be happy. We should not being selfish. Another one good movie from them. Keep it up ! Last but not least, Jasmine's group with their movie entitled 'Wishing star'. This movie is about two persons, from different family, have the same look but different character. Where, one day, they bumped coincidently. They decide to switch their life because one of them did not satisfy with her life. This movie thought me that we should accept what we had in this life because everything that we had now , have their own reasons. I love the way the role the movie. Nice ! Well done ! It can be improved more. So, we've finished presentation of our final project. Yippie ! I'm so glad.
It's the time to hear Ms. Amreet's last words and compliments about the whole fourteen weeks we attend thos course. She said that she was glad that she got us as her students. and she said that our performance during the whole lecture was better than others. From me, I have nothing much to say, Ms. Amreet had run the responsibility well. I've learned many things in this course. Thank you for all the lessons, for all the knowledge. Thank you for being the most sporting lecturer. It's my pleasure to have you as my lecturer! Hope to see you in the future. I love you and I will miss you .

REFLECTION WEEK 13
Hello lovelies ! Well, we meet again !
I am very excited to share with all of you. This week was the presentation of our final project for this course. our Digital Story telling "Sister Swap" . In this project,we decided to use anime as our major platform because we want to try something new. In semester 2, we've been produced a movie. so, the presentation was started with Syahira's group with title 'I am perfect'. It is about self acceptance. I taught us that we have to accept ourselves. Never care about what other's saying, because you'll not hppy with that life. Just be yourself ! One more thing to share, I am impressed with their production, the angle taken, the sound, and the music background. Good job girls !
While, second group was Amina's group with title ' Anna's petite journal'. From what I understand, this digital story telling is about students life. What Anna do as a student. She sleep, wake up, go to lecture class, eat, revise, do assignments ans sleep again. Next group is my group. Honestly, we were nervous because we brought a very different type of digital story telling, We were afraid that it would not be accepted. Thankfully, after finished our presentation, Ms, Amreet did not comment negatively. It was a relief for us. Thank you Ms. Amreet! There were another group that will present their final project. Meet you next week !
REFLECTION WEEK 12
Hi everyone ! Hi Ms. Amreet !
As I mentioned before, I got one hour class on Monday. Ms. Amreet is very responsible person because she never cancel the class if there's no memo or it is not public holiday. but, this week, on Monday , our class was off because it was the public holiday, Independence Day ! I'm not that happy because even if the class is on, I still cannot go to the class, I was not in a pink health and I was not around the campus or college. I do have few assignments that I have to do, from Ms. Amreet and other course. but, in that condition, I can do nothing. I fulfilled my holiday resting at home.
While, on Wednesday, yes! the class is on. I was not fully recover, but because of my medical certificate (MC) only until Tuesday. then, I have to go to the class, since Ms. Amreet is very particular about the attendance. So,on that day, Ms.Amreet taught us about the Interactive Multimedia Narrative and Linear Narrative. About the notes, Ms. Amreet already uploaded it in the MyGuru. so that,it will be easy for me to revise anything on my own. I think, I'm done here. I will update later due to my next lecture class. Thank you for spending time too visit my blog! see you soon!
Causes of teenage suicide ( CAUSE AND EFFECT ESSAY )
To live means not only to exist biologically or as a psychic entity, but also to cope with difficulties, interact and communicate with people, make decisions, and sometimes undergo excessive psychological pressure. Even an adult mind can fail to maintain pressure, making an individual see no other solution but suicide. Along with this, a risk group that is even more exposed to suicides is represented by teenagers, who are more vulnerable to stresses and usually do not possess strongly-shaped personalities. Considering the problem’s scales, factors which cause adolescents to do away with themselves should be distinguished.
One of the most common reasons for adolescent suicide is a divorce of parents, as well as a new family formation—including step-parents, step-siblings, and so on . According to the study of 146 adolescent friends of 26 adolescent suicide victims, those teenagers who lived in single-parent families were more likely either to commit suicide and to have psychological disorders, compared to children from complete families; more precisely, three of four adolescent suicides were committed by children raised in single-parent households .
Depression can be another reason for teenagers committing suicides. Scientists usually connect the development of depression to the lack of the brain chemical serotonin, which controls impulsivity; this is important considering the fact that many suicides are committed impulsively (NAMI). Moreover, symptoms of depression can also serve as warning signs of a teen having suicidal thoughts. Among the most common signs, parents or caregivers should pay attention to the following changes in behavior: sudden changes of eating and sleeping habits; withdrawal from friends and family members; giving up favorite activities; lack of response to praise; alcohol and drug use; suicidal feelings, and so on. Statements about wanting to die or hints like “I won’t be a problem much longer” should also be payed extra attention (The Ohio State University).
Yet another common reason for adolescent suicides is unsuccessful love. Teenagers are vulnerable due to the complexities of a transitional period between adolescence and adulthood. They also tend to maximize and generalize certain events of their lives. Thus, a breakup or unrequited love, which themselves are rather complicated conundrums, may be seen as a total disaster, and thus push a teen towards making a final decision for a temporary problem.
Adolescence is a unique period, which is fraught with adverse experiences, fears, hopes, and stresses. Unfortunately, sometimes teenagers cannot cope with the challenges life exposes them to, and do away with themselves. Among the most common factors standing behind this terrible decision are the divorce of parents and new family formations, depression, and difficulties in intimate relationships. Thus, parents and caregivers should pay close attention to the mental condition of their children to prevent them from making this crucial mistake.
DESCRIBE HOW YOU WOULD COOK YOUR FAVOURITE DISH
My favourite dish is steamed egg. It is very delicious and nutritious. also it is very easy to make. all it takes is an egg and other ingredients found in any kitchen plus about twenty minutes of cooking time.
How to cook? First of all dissolve the 1/2 teaspoon cornflour in a bit of water in a bowl. Crack the egg into the bowl and beat the mixture thoroughly with a table fork. Then add water until the bowl is nearly full. Continue beating the watery mixture until the colour is consistent.
Add a pinch of salt and pepper. Mince meat or chopped prawns can be added but it is not compulsory. A drop or two of cooking oil may also be added. There is no hard and fast rule about what to add to the mixture. It is just a matter of taste. I usually stick to the original mixture without adding any meat.
Put about 3 inches of water into the Chinese wok (a large pot will do just as well) and put a low metal stand in the water. An inverted saucer will do, if you do not have a metal stand, heat up the water. When steam begans to appear, place the egg mixture on the stand. Continue beating the mixture gently.
The egg mixture will be began to heat up. Test its temperature from time to time by dipping a finger into it. After a few minutes, the mixture will be hot to touch. By now, the water should be boiling nicely and the steam will be probably be a bit too hot for comfort. So, stop beating the mixture and cover the wok with a lid. Let the steam do its work for about 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes open the lid and examine the egg mixture. Be careful though not be scalded by the steam. The egg should have solidified to the consistency of jelly. You can check this with a fork. The fork should "open" the steamed egg slightly. The finish dish should be like soft pale yellow opaque jelly.
Add a bit of soy sauce to the steamed egg and it is ready for serving. whether eaten with rice or by itself this dish is simply delicious. Try it, you will be suprised a simple dish like this can taste so good.

Many of us "live to eat" rather than "eat to live". Do you agree? (ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY)
There is some truth on the above statement, for there are many who certainly put great importance to the food they eat until they have a problem with it. Many people complain that they are overweight, that they have spare tyre and how they wish that they can be slim. For most of these people who complain thus, I can see that they are the cause of their condition, and that is, they simply eat too much. Except for rare medical cases where hormonal disturbance may cause obesity, I can safely say that just about all obese people love to eat.
I have a friend who weighs 260 Ib and he stands at merely 5 feet 2 inches. He looks like a ball actually. He is so fat that he cannot put his hands down his sides like normal people do. His hands sort of dangle from his shoulders. He attributes his obesity to "something" wrong with my glands. He does not admit that it is his addiction with eating is causing the problem. His ideas of lunch is two glasses of lime juice. He literally stuffs the food into his mouth and with hardly a chew swallows the whole lot. His "something is wrong with my glands" declaration is just an excuse.
Judging by the number of people who strut around their bellies leading the way, it will not be too far-fetched to say that they "live to eat". If they merely eat to live, they will not allow themselves to bloat up as they are. It is the inevitable complaint of overweight people that they have difficulty doing physical exercises and they are prone to illness. Why then, if they can see that being overweight is not something good, do they not desist from eating excessively? The answer is that they live to eat. They simply love the taste of food. In short, they are addicted to food.
This addiction is further encouraged by many restaurants and eating shops that seem to mushroom everywhere Young and old, rich and poor- they all patronise these places. They are always pot-bellied experts ever willing to comment on the best dining places in town. They can describe in great detail and with great enthusiasm all the best meals they had ever had. If these people do not live to eat, who else do ?
To be fair, not everyone live to eat. There are many sensible people who eat just to keep their bodies in a good working order. Overeating is out of the question for them. They know the dangers of obesity. They treasure their health more and thus live their lives minus the problems and anxieties of the obese. There are enough problems already in this world. There is no need to add the problems of obesity to it.
Reflection Week 11
On Monday's class, Ms. Amreet ask us to discuss among group members about our last project (digital storytelling). She want to survey our progress, about the story line, the script, the field that we will use to complete this task. on that time, my group members and I gather and try to find the appropriate site. One hour class we use to do discussion in group. Meanwhile, on Wednesday's class was postponed because we had to participate in a trip which is related to our "Latihan Industri" (LI). LI also known as our internship after we finished our semester. One of the objectives of this trip is to expose us (Diploma in English students) the environment in workplace, what is the section, and the responsibility for each department which is very important for us to know. So, here some of our captured moments during the trip!

Which do you prefer, being in a large school or a small one ? (COMPARE & CONTRAST ESSAY)
I prefer being in a small school.
When I was in primary school, we had only about two hundred pupils in the school. I knew just about every teacher and pupil of the school. In fact, all of us knew each another and the school was like a huge family. The teachers were like uncles and aunts. The schoolmates were friendly and we really had great times together.
The atmosphere in school was terrific. We were small and we cared for each other. The headmaster was a kind man who knew how to look after children. He never had to cane anyone. The children simply loved being in school. So, we never created any trouble.
Now, I am in secondary school., This school has almost two thousands students. It is too large for my liking. Even after three years here, I only knows those in my class and some from other classes. The students are definitely less friendly here. So are the teachers, whereas in my old school the teachers were like uncles and aunts, those here are just like strangers we meet on the streets. I am not saying all the teachers are like that, but I say quite a number of them do not seem to be bothered whether they knows us or not.
As the school is divided into two sessions, those who came in the morning, do not know those who come in the afternoon at all. The teachers themselves do not know all their colleagues. How can we students know all our schoolmates? It is impossible. This sort of thing does nothing to bring about a friendly atmosphere in the school.
Almost every month the headmaster cane some students in public. I have never seen such thing in my old school. I suspect the guilty students are merely trying to get some attention. They are sorely neglected. Most of these so-called 'naughty' brats come from the weaker class. I had on occasion, passed by these E and F classes. What do I see? Pandemonium- I do not any teacher in the class and the students are left to their own devices. No wonder they break chairs and tables and make trouble. Then they punished for their offences. In the first place who is responsible for their neglect? Fortunately, I am not in one of these classes. Otherwise, I would have been caned now.
When I had to leave primary school to come up to secondary, I felt sad having to go away from a place that I loved. I look forward to the day when I can leave. That is how different the two schools are. The small school really made me feel wanted and I enjoyed being there. This huge monster of a school makes me unwanted and I do not enjoy being here.
